About
Charleston Photo Art is a husband-and-wife photography and videography studio in Mount Pleasant, photographing weddings, proposals and portraits across the Lowcountry since 2016.
Our story
Dennis started Charleston Photo Art in 2016 with one idea: photograph couples the way they actually are with each other. He trained as a psychologist before he trained a lens on anyone, and it shows in how the days run. No stiff posing, no long lists of setups. Mostly he watches, and steps in when it helps.
In 2019 his wife Iryna joined and took over the studio side. She came from Charleston hospitality and holds a Master of Arts in Art History, which is a long way of saying she notices the details nobody else does and answers your emails faster than Dennis would. Today the studio is a full team: associate photographers who have shot with us for years, second shooters, assistants and our own editors.
We photograph and film weddings, elopements, proposals, engagements and portraits, which means one team covers the whole day and you are not chasing two vendors for two sets of files. Albums, wall art and film photography are made here as well.

How the day works
Before
We check your date, talk through the timeline and recommend a collection, or build one around what you actually need. Most couples book twelve to eighteen months out.
On the day
Photography and video from the same team, working with your planner and adjusting as the day moves. Charleston is good all year, and we keep indoor options ready for the days it rains.
After
Preview images within a day or two. Then your full gallery on a private link to view, download and order from, or come to the studio and choose your favourites on the big screen with album and print samples in front of you.
